According to the data of the research team of ABP News, 10 thousand 765 Indians live in Iran, out of which 1020 students live in Iran for medical studies. According to statistics, most Indians live in Tehran, the capital of Iran. Medical education is cheap in Iran, hence students often go there.
Foreign Ministry issued advisory for Indians
Amidst the increasing tension in West Asia after the war between Iran and Israel, the Foreign Ministry on Wednesday said that it is keeping a close watch on the security situation in the region. The ministry also advised the country’s citizens to avoid all non-essential trips to Iran. Along with this, people living in Iran were requested to be cautious and stay in touch with the Indian Embassy in Tehran.
On the situation in West Asia, the Indian Foreign Ministry appealed to resolve the issues through dialogue and diplomacy. The Foreign Ministry issued a statement saying, “We are deeply concerned by the deteriorating security situation in West Asia and reiterate our call for all concerned to exercise restraint and protect civilians.”
